Ex-international, Adokiye Amiesimaka, said on Monday that defeating Argentina in a pleasant was not enough to raise the position of the Super Eagles in FIFA’s monthly ranking.
Mr. Amiesimaka told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the Super Eagles should rather strive to be more consistent within their performances.
The Super Eagles were ranked 50th world greatest in the latest FIFA rating despite beating Argentina in a pleasant match few days ago.
Nigeria also slipped from fifth in order to eight position within Africa.
“Beating Argentina is such a big deal that people expect suddenly to become number two or number one. Even if i was to rank ourselves and we want to be true to ourselves and we wish to be honest, ” Mr. Amiesimaka said.
“We know that we are truly nowhere, the potential has always being there, but in terms of quality, and we aren't there yet.
“Most of our players tend to be trained and cut for us by and also the and foreign golf clubs.
“Football in Nigeria is still in its infancy. So , if FIFA ranks us fifty or 60 and even 100, I will not be surprised, we ought to tell ourselves the facts buy fifa 18 coins we are not there yet.
